Kaitlin is a public relations and journalism senior who is also participating in the TexasMedia sequence. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Kaitlin quickly fell in love with the University of Texas mainly because of its close proximity to Austin’s thriving music scene. Throughout her college career, Kaitlin has pursued a wide range of experiences within the music space –– including hosting her own radio show at KVRX 91.7FM, managing Lollapalooza’s social media channels as an intern for C3 Presents and most recently working on a variety of digital and streaming marketing campaigns for artists like John Mayer, Pink Floyd and J. Cole as an intern for Sony Music Entertainment in New York City. An aspiring marketing strategist, Kaitlin loves combining skills from her journalism and public relations background in both internship and TexasMedia projects. She and five of her TexasMedia teammates were recently named the AdWords Social Impact First Place Winners for the global Google Online Marketing Challenge for their work with the non-profit, Thinkery. Kaitlin spent many hours at the Writing Support Program as a student getting help on a variety of journalism, public relations and advertising assignments. She loves having the opportunity to help other students in the same way her past coaches helped her. In her free time, Kaitlin can usually be found creating (another) Spotify playlist, running around Town Lake or watching terrible rom-coms with her roommates
