Vibrant – Mobile iOS App Design Project

I worked with two computer science students and one journalism student to create Vibrant, an iOS app in Swift as part of a mobile app development course at UT Austin. My team and I pitched our product to a panel of judges in the Austin tech and journalism communities and won “best overall app” and “best app design.”

We were tasked with 1) identifying a problem, 2) conceptualizing an app to solve said problem, 3) developing the app without any templates, 4) UI/UX and beta testing the product, 5) creating a marketing plan, 6) demoing the minimum viable product at a Moody College of Communication Demo Day and 7) submitting it to the App Store upon completion.

My teammates and I created Vibrant, an app that enables users to track their moods and emotions over time, receive insights based on their data entries and also provides resources and strategies for mental wellness.

I am the acting project manager and spearheaded the competitive and UX research, the user testing process and execution, the branding and overall marketing strategy.
